Meet Our Therapists | PTConcepts, Frisco

Eric Nguyen, PT, MPT

At a young age, he became interested in how the human body works. He has always been fascinated in how athletes move and how individuals recover after an injury. This sparked his interest in the field of rehabilitation and he worked hard to accomplish his goal to receive his Master's in Physical Therapy at California State University Long Beach (CSULB).

Eric interned and worked in several settings in physical therapy, including inpatient rehabilitation, acute rehabilitation, geriatric centers, and outpatient orthopedics. His experiences have made it evident that his heart is in outpatient orthopedics. He has taken several continuing education courses to strengthen his manual skills as well as his diagnostic skills. He is constantly looking to learn and have a thirst for knowledge. Dr. Nguyen holds a certification in Selective Functional Movement Assessment (SFMA). SFMA focuses on finding the root cause of symptoms by breaking down dysfunctional movement patterns logically, rather than simply finding the source of the pain.

His philosophy for treating patients is to treat the entire person and to identify the dysfunctional movement patterns which could contribute to impairments. It is very easy to get caught up treating symptoms, but it is imperative to determine the cause of the pain. It is also important to take a holistic approach and know that every person is different, and every person's needs are different. Therefore, he tailored each program for everyone to ensure it is the right program for them.

He is originally from Orange County, CA, but now proudly calls McKinney home. Eric enjoys staying active and practicing Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. He finds inspiration from his wife and daughter, nothing means more to him than family.

Cassidy Henry, PTA

Cassidy Henry is the Physical Therapist Assistant at our Frisco West clinic. Cassidy is from Topeka, KS where she grew up playing all sports but was most passionate about basketball. Cassidy always knew she wanted to be in a fitness-health related field so she continued her education at The University of Kansas as well as Washburn University in Topeka to pursue a rehab degree. Cassidy graduated from the PTA program in 2018 and moved to Texas with her husband and  her first full-time PTA position here at our Frisco West location clinic. As of 2020, Cassidy also has a Bachelor's in Health Administration.

Tori Hummer ATC, LAT, CES

Tori grew up in Fort Worth and has spent her whole life in Texas. She earned a BS in Athletic Training with a minor in Health, and an MS in Exercise Science with an emphasis on biomechanics from Texas A&M-Commerce, has been licensed for 5 years, and also has a Corrective Exercise Specialist certification. Tori started her work as an ATC working with various high school and college sports teams, semi-pro football, college football combines, and Dallas Mavericks youth camps. She then took a position as an exercise specialist with a chiropractic clinic and later became an injury prevention specialist working with American Airlines. Tori left American Airlines after finding PT Concepts and currently works at our Frisco West location.

Nicole Waletzki, ATC, LAT

Nicole is originally from Leesburg, VA. She received her bachelors degree in Athletic Training from Bethany College in Lindsborg, KS. After graduation, she transitioned to staff at Bethany College as an assistant athletic trainer. During her time there she worked primarily with men's and women's soccer, men's basketball, and baseball.  After a few years of working in the collegiate setting, she had the opportunity to transition to the industrial setting.  This brought her to Wichita, KS working for an aircraft manufacturing company as an injury prevention specialist.  Nicole's next move brought me closer to family and gave me the opportunity to be a team member of the Chiro and PT concepts team, helping our patients improve and become pain free.
